LogTree does not collect any personal data or user information. We do not access, transmit, or store any data from your device. Your privacy is our priority, and we ensure that all your information remains private and secure.
You do not need to create an account or provide any personal information to use LogTree. The app functions entirely without requiring a user account, login credentials, or any identifiable data.
All data you enter into LogTree is stored locally on your device. This includes any logs, journals, or other information you create within the app. LogTree does not send or share your data with any external servers or third parties.
If you enable iCloud backup on your device, your data from LogTree will be securely backed up to your personal iCloud account. This backup is managed by Apple, and LogTree does not have access to any data stored in your iCloud account. You can control this backup option through your device settings.
Since all your data is stored locally on your device or optionally backed up to your iCloud account, it remains protected by the security features of your device and Apple's iCloud service. We recommend keeping your device secure by using a passcode, Face ID, or Touch ID and regularly updating your software to the latest version.
While LogTree never accesses your personal logs or data, we use a privacy-first service called TelemetryDeck to help us understand how the app is performing and which features are most useful.
To improve the app without compromising your privacy, we collect anonymous "signals" (such as "App Opened" or "Log Created"). This process is designed to be completely anonymous:
No Personal Identity: We do not collect names, email addresses, or any other identifying information.
Double-Hashing: Your device identifier is anonymized using a double-hashing process before it ever reaches a server. This makes it mathematically impossible for us or TelemetryDeck to identify you or your specific device.
No IP Addresses: We do not store your IP address. We only see generic, high-level information like the country you are in and which version of the app you are using.
Data Isolation: These usage signals are entirely separate from your personal log data. Your logs, notes, and trackers remain strictly on your device or your personal iCloud backup.
